Sanders as their next Athletic Director/Assistant Principal at the March Board of Education meeting. She was chosen from a field of highly qualified candidates. She will succeed Bobbi Robertson who was named as the Elementary Principal.
Mrs. Sanders has been with the Maries County R 2 School District for six years. She currently serves as a High School Special Education teacher, head Softball coach and FBLA sponsor for Belle High School.
"To say that I am honored to receive this position for my hometown would be an understatement," said Sanders. "I am more than excited to serve as the Maries Co. R 2 Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. My passion for this community and school will drive my performance in both positions."
Sanders is a 2014 Belle High School graduate. " I am one of those alumni who will always be a Tiger, and now I am one of those people who can leave my lasting presence on this school that will help facilitate a legacy of excellence for all Maries R2 students," said Sanders.
She has a Bachelors of Science from Columbia College, a Bachelors of Arts from Central Methodist University and a Masters of Education from Grand Canyon University. She is married and has two children, Rosalie and Ford.
"I am passionate about extra-curricular activities, and specifically sports. Supporting and retaining coaches/athletes is a top priority for me," stated Sanders.
