Over the next few months - Maries Co. R 2 will be celebrating staff members who started as students in our district. We are so very proud of all of our alumni - but are so thankful that these alumni have come back to serve our community!
Our first alumni is Mareta Rider. She is a 2010 graduate of Belle High School. She joined our teaching staff in 2016 as one of the High School Agriculture Education teachers. She is also one of the FFA Sponsors.
"There is something special about teaching in the same school you attended. You already know so much about the community and the families that live here. I think it just makes my job easier. I also get to be an advisor for the same FFA Chapter I was once a member and officer on the chapter, area and state level for. I know so much about this FFA Chapter and eventually my own children will pass through these halls and wear the Belle FFA jacket. There is so much pride and tradition in our chapter and agriculture is such an important part of our community. I'm glad I get to make sure our students that are interested in career and technical education have a home at BHS."-- Mrs. Rider
