Maries Co. R 2 will elect three (3) Board of Education members for a term of three (3) years on the municipal Election Day of April 7, 2026.
Filing will begin December 9, 2025, at 8:00 am and end on December 30, 2025 at 5:00 pm. No filings will be accepted on days the district office/schools are closed for inclement weather or when the offices are scheduled closed. The offices are scheduled close for Christmas break December 19-December 30. The office will be open on December 30 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm to allow for last day filing.
The ballot placement will be by order of filing.
Under the provisions of Missouri Statute Section 115.124 if the number of candidates who file is equal to the number of positions to be filed by the election (three), no election will be held. However, if the candidates filing exceeds the number of positions the annual school board election will be held on April 7, 2026.
