What a great night for Maries County R 2 Schools!
We were thrilled to welcome such a large crowd for our Ribbon Cutting. Community members had the chance to explore the new facility, which provides new and updated spaces for our youngest learners.
The new Early Childhood Center serves our youngest learners, ages 3-5, in a full-day and half-day setting. It is home to the district's special education classroom providing supportive and inclusive learning opportunities designed around the needs of each child. It is also home to the district daycare for our staff for students birth to 4. The center also includes the Parents As Teachers program which serves students from birth to 5 and their families. Every detail of this center was designed with our youngest learners in mind, creating a welcoming and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, grow and thrive!
We were so grateful to have many of our project partners join us to celebrate the completion of a project they helped bring to life. This marks an important investment in Maries Co. R 2 families, early childhood education and the future of our youngest learners! This exciting milestone would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of so many!
Most of all, thank you to our community. Your support of the district made this project possible, and it was incredibly special to see so many people come together to celebrate these new spaces and what they will mean for our students. We are excited to welcome our future Tiger Cubs through the doors and create memories that will last a lifetime.
