Mrs. Randis Sanders to take on new role at Belle High School

The Maries County R-2 School district is excited to have Mrs. Randis Sanders join the High School team as a special education teacher!

Mrs. Sanders received her high school diploma from Belle High School in 2014, but couldn't stay away and came back to the district in 2018 as a paraprofessional.  She served in this role for two years in the middle school and last year moved to the high school where she was a paraprofessional and completed her student-teaching experience in the business classroom. Mrs. Sanders’ love for her job sparked her desire for going back to school to get her teaching certification in special education.

Mrs. Sanders is the high school softball coach for BHS and has been in this role for three years now. Her husband who also graduated from BHS still stays involved by serving as the assistant baseball coach. They have a daughter, Rosalie who is almost two-years-old. Mrs. Sanders is extremely thankful for a family that is so supportive. Last year was hard for everyone and on top of the hard year, she and her husband both coached at the same time, so they had to have a lot of help with Rosalie. With that being said, when they are not at the ball field, they love to just hang out with their family!

When asked about her new role at the district Mrs. Sanders stated, “I am extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to begin my teaching journey at Maries R-II. I have always loved Belle High School and I am excited to give back to the students and community. As soon as I started as a paraprofessional, I knew that I found my calling. I love working with exceptional learners; they have taught me so much!” One of her favorite quotes is, "If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn."

We welcome Mrs. Sanders to her new role at Belle High School and wish her a wonderful year!!
