STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Education is a method of hands-on teaching and learning where students learn to apply academic content by creatively solving real-world problems with innovative design-based thinking to prepare students for future career opportunities.   Our Elementary library has many STEM activities that students participate in.   The librarians refer to it as Makerspace time. Our students love the problem solving.  Students need a strong foundation in STEM subjects in order to be successful in the information-driven age. STEM education empowers our students to use their creativity and develop their critical thinking skills.
