Careers in construction

Governor Parson recently signed a proclamation declaring October as Careers in Construction Month to increase public awareness and appreciation of construction craft professionals and the entire workforce. This month, employers, associations, and schools are encouraged to conduct job fairs, panel discussions, and local community events to inform students of the vast employment opportunities in construction.

The construction industry is one of our nation's largest industries, employing more than seven million individuals in the Unites States and 128,000 in Missouri. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that the construction industry needs over two million new craft professionals by 2025.

Maries County R 2 has a long history of supporting Careers in Construction.  The district has had a Building Trades program for 45 years and have built 43 homes in our community.  It is a program that we are very proud to support!
