This message is to inform you that the USDA waiver which provided free lunch and breakfast to all children in the community during the past two school years has expired. Maries Co. R 2 School District will be offering lunch and breakfast at no charge during Summer School through the Summer Food Service Program with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services . Any child in the community aged 18 or under may visit the cafeterias at Belle Elementary during regular meal times.
Starting in August, students at Belle High School will no longer receive free breakfast and lunch. Students at Belle Elementary and Bland Middle School will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch through the Community Eligibility Program.
We will be sending out instructions on the Free & Reduced Lunch Application for the 2022-23 school year prior to opening online registration for returning students in July. It will be imperative that families who may qualify for free or reduced meals fill out the forms to be eligible for services next year.
