The Maries County R-II School District is pleased to announce the hiring of David Hannah as a Math Teacher for the 2022-2023 School Year. David will take over for long time Belle High School teacher Ms. Claudia Scherstuhl.
Mr. Hannah has been teaching math in the state of North Carolina for the last 16 years. During that time he's taught a variety of math courses including Foundations of Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra II, Geometry, Technical Math, Discrete Math, and Pre-Calculus. He was also the head wrestling coach in his previous district.
In the summers you can find David in Poconos, PA where he is a head counselor at Lake Owego Camp. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing. When asked about fishing he stated, "It's my real passion. I spent much of my time in North Carolina the last 16 years on the beach or on the pier." He also has a two year old son, Hank, whom lives with him and his wife Sara.
When asked about joining Maries County R-II David commented, "I'm very exited to join the team at Maries County R-II. I look forward to smaller class sizes than I am used to and the opportunity to build relationships with the students, staff, and community."
