Middle School ELA Family Night is tonight
At 8:30 this morning, Belle Elementary had an evacuation due to a strong propane smell within the Elementary building. After an investigation, it was determined that there was NOT a propane issue within the building. There is a propane company on Apple Street replacing propane lines. All of our students were safe at all times. The students did an excellent job with the evacuation and we are proud of their cooperation. Students returned to their classrooms at approximately 9:00.
Bus 24 is running 20 minutes late. We apologize for the inconvenience this morning.
Bus 18 is running 10 minutes late this morning due to traffic stopped for a vehicle accident in Vichy. The accident did not involve the bus.
Parent Teacher Conferences are today from 1-7 in all of our buildings! Please make plans to stop by and visit in your students class/classes!

Today in Mrs. Gieck's 4th grade class, these two math Superstars completed their Monster Math. Alice completed division through 12's and will go back to multiplication to try to complete it in a faster time. Maddie completed her multiplication through 12's and will start working on division next week. Awesome job girls!
Bland Middle School students and parents are invited to attend the BMS Math Family Engagement Night! We encourage all 5th-8th graders and their families to attend.
Bus 26 is running 25 minutes late due to being stuck in mud on the route. All students are safe.

Kelhen Struemph is our athlete of the month!
Coach Schultz- “Kelhen has been a key piece to the success we have had as a team. He always shows up and takes my constructive criticism with respect. He has done everything that I have asked of him. Kelhen is also a great teammate that will do anything for the benefit of the team. Kelhen is a great athlete in all sports that he chooses to do and is a very coachable young man. Very proud to call him one of my boys!!!!”

Dederick Nielson is our 6th grade student of the month. He was nominated by Mrs. Jones. Dee is a hard worker, respectful to his classmates and staff. He is responsible and shows up to class prepared and ready to learn. Dee is respectful and polite in the classroom and all areas of the middle school. Qualities like this is what makes him our student of the month. We are so proud of students like Dee at Bland Middle School.
Gauge Workman is our BHS Student of the Month.
Gauge Workman is incredibly deserving of this award. He comes into class ready to learn and willing to participate. He puts in real effort towards his studies and turns in quality work. He's not afraid to ask questions or make mistakes. He stays focused while maintaining a good sense of humor. Even after being absent for a few days, Gauge came back ready to work. Not only did he quickly finish his missing work, he very quickly caught up to where we were in class and still managed to outperform some of his classmates. It's students like Gauge that make teachers truly enjoy their job.

I am so happy Gauge was selected to be student of the month for Belle High. He has worked really hard in my class to make sure he stays on track. He comes in each day and does what he is supposed to, even if he is having an off day. Sometimes students can get sidetracked, but not Gauge. He does not let distractions get in the way of him completing his work. He is always polite and respectful towards me and if asked something or I need his help, he does so with no objections. He has really come out of his shell since day one of being in my class and I am so thankful to have him in class. I can't wait to see what more he can accomplish throughout his time in high school. Congratulations, Gauge, you deserve this moment!
