If you would like to become a substitute, but do not have 60 college credit hours you may become a substitute by completing the guidelines below:
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION FROM APPROVED SUBSTITUTE TRAINING
The 20 hours of online training to be a substitute teacher is now available through Frontline Education. A Content Substitute certificate may now be granted to an individual who has successfully completed a minimum of twenty (20) clock hours of department-approved substitute teacher training. Training is now available at the link below. Technical assistance for any issues or questions regarding the online training is provided by Frontline and can be accessed at the link below;

COPY OF HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, GENERAL EDUCATION DIPLOMA (GED), OR HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY TEST (HISET). Copy of high school diploma, general education diploma (GED), or high school equivalency test (HiSET) must be mailed to: Educator Certification, PO Box 480, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0480. Please be sure to include your Social Security number or Educator ID number. Faxed, scanned, or emailed documents will not be accepted. These documents become the property of the department and cannot be returned.
FINGERPRINT/BACKGROUND CHECK
A criminal fingerprint/background clearance must be obtained before a certificate can be issued.

The Maries County R-II School District has an opening for a paraprofessional position for the 2021-2022 school year. Candidates must have at least 60 college credit hours or pass the paraprofessional assessment, be able to clear a federal and state background check and obtain a substitute certificate. The position is a full time position with benefits. Applications can be completed on-line at www.mariesr2.org. Wow. What a day. In the State Championship both boys finished in the 18's for time and the weather couldn't have been more perfect! This season is over and I'm a tad emotional about it.

6th Grade - Chicken Mummy Lab
As an introduction to the ancient Egyptian civilization, sixth grade students participated in the process of mummifying chicken legs.





Sixth grade students create posters to show the forms of energy as part of the Ameren Missouri Energy Efficiency Kits Program.
